Subscription & Auto-Delivery Terms

These Subscription & Auto-Delivery Terms (“Subscription Terms”) apply to all subscription-based purchases made through Petsome (“we”, “us”, “our”). By purchasing a subscription product, you agree to these Subscription Terms in addition to our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Return Policy.

Nothing in these Subscription Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

1. What Is a Subscription?

A subscription allows you to receive selected products on a recurring basis (for example, every 1, 2, 4, or 8 weeks, or monthly) without needing to place a new order each time.

By enrolling in a subscription, you authorise Petsome to automatically charge your selected payment method for each recurring order until the subscription is cancelled or paused.

2. Subscription Eligibility

To purchase a subscription, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Provide valid payment and delivery details
  • Maintain an active customer account with Petsome (where required)

3. Billing & Automatic Payments

When you subscribe:

  • Your payment method will be charged automatically at the frequency you select
  • Charges will occur prior to each scheduled delivery
  • Prices are shown in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable

If a payment fails, we may retry the charge or suspend future deliveries until payment is successfully processed.

4. Subscription Pricing & Changes

Subscription pricing may differ from one-time purchase pricing and may include discounts or promotional offers.

We reserve the right to change subscription prices, discounts, or product availability. Where required by law, you will be notified of material pricing changes before they take effect.

5. Managing Your Subscription

You can manage your subscription at any time through your customer account, including:

  • Pausing or resuming deliveries
  • Changing delivery frequency
  • Updating payment or shipping details
  • Skipping upcoming orders
  • Cancelling your subscription

Changes must be made before the cut-off time shown in your account to apply to the next scheduled order.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time:

  • Via your Petsome account page
  • By following the cancellation link in subscription emails (if available)
  • By contacting our customer support team

Cancellation will stop future recurring charges. Any orders already processed or shipped prior to cancellation will still be fulfilled.

7. Notifications & Reminders (ACMA Compliance)

Petsome may send transactional notifications related to your subscription, including:

  • Upcoming charge reminders
  • Order confirmation and dispatch notices
  • Payment failure alerts
  • Subscription changes or updates

These communications may be sent via email or SMS and are permitted under the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) as service-related messages.

8. Returns & Refunds for Subscriptions

Subscription orders are subject to our standard Return Policy.

Opened food, treats, or consumables are generally not eligible for return unless faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply to subscription products in the same way as one-time purchases.

9. Stock Availability & Substitutions

If a subscribed product becomes unavailable, we may:

  • Pause the subscription
  • Notify you to choose an alternative product
  • Cancel the affected delivery

We will not substitute products without your consent.

10. Failed Payments & Suspension

If we are unable to process a subscription payment:

  • The delivery may be delayed or skipped
  • Your subscription may be temporarily suspended
  • You may be notified to update your payment details

11. Subscription Abuse & Misuse

We reserve the right to suspend or cancel subscriptions where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, misuse, or breach of these Subscription Terms.

12. Changes to Subscription Terms

We may update these Subscription Terms from time to time. Updated terms will be published on our website and apply to future subscription orders.

13. Governing Law

These Subscription Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Australian courts.
